LADY GAG ME......

I question the sanity of Americans.  We are so dumb sometimes--I'm sorry.  We buy into EVERYTHING  and EVERYONE!  We allow celebrities to be our standard and we imitate them, follow them, obsess over them and hang on to their every word.  We allow them to influence our clothing, hairstyles, attitudes, political views and overall lifestyles.

They make tens of thousands of millions of dollars off of stupid Americans everyday.  Then, they get on their political soapbox and we actually listen!!  "Oooo--oooo Ben Affleck is voting for Clinton, I'm with him!"  Are you stupid?  You are going to let a trillionaire dictate to you the needs of the country?  These people live in trees!!  They have food flown in fresh from Italy and a chef waiting to cook it.  They have spas inside of their homes and they don't just own vacation homes, they own vacation islands!!  Taxes, healthcare, education, military and every other major issue doesn't even come close to affecting them!  Not even close!!  They don't represent the vast majority of Americans so why the heck should we listen to their political views?  Because we are brainless and lazy and we're star struck and we don't want to form our own identities or opinions...we would rather let Hollywood do alllll of that for us.  PATHETIC!

That was a little off topic...I really wanted to write about Lady Gag-me-with-a-spoon.  Are you all kidding me when you say you find her fresh and funky and adorable and trendy and unique?  Look--as much as I hate on people, I will give credit where credit is due.  I think she has catchy songs and a pretty good voice!  I've been known to hum a tune or two of hers.  That's not the point!!!  Why isn't having a good voice with some decent lyrics enough for America?  Everything has to be extreme and weird or else we don't buy it.  She isn't popular because she has a good voice!!  We don't even care about that!  But even that's not the point.  I'm just picking on Lady GAG for today's blog.

I just think it is soooo dumb that everyone is sooo freaked out and says how crazy she is and how unique and weird and funky, etc.  GIVE ME A BREAK!  She is probably a little quiet girl that is nerdy and sucks her thumb as she cries herself to sleep every night.  IT's A COSTUME PEOPLE!  She is just hiding behind a mask and all of you buy it!!  Why??  She's not weird.  I can respect weird.  I can respect people who just have issues or who have lived a hard life and they have somehow come out on top.  I can respect those people that just write their music from the heart and they are true artists.  They don't have a team of people trying to make them fit into today's trends.  That's not art---that's phony.  Real artists and real "weird" people are not going to buy into the hype.  They shy away from the spotlight and they don't care about the fame.  They are more introverted and they just have a talent that is supernatural.  When I see Gag-Me I feel like her whole act just screams FAKE!  If you have to TRY to be weird then you aren't.  If you just TRY to come up with things that will get a reaction then you aren't real.  If you have to TRY and be different then you aren't!  It should be effortless and she does everything under the sun to get a shock out of us and what do we do?  Of course, WE BITE!  We allow her to be our poster child!  We are soooo whack!

Why do you think real heavy metal rock stars are considered sell-outs if they go mainstream or if they get their own reality show?  Because that's too generic and it's not keeping it REAL.  Same thing goes for gag.  You people need to WAKE UP.  She sits at home at night thinking of ways to be weird.  It's not authentic.  She's like "oh, I have an idea, I'll put a telephone in my hair..yeah, that will work...they will all think that is soo weird and they will just love me."  She's no different than a cartoon or a puppet....YOU are the ones pulling the strings.....

RED, WHITE and BOOOOOOO....ON ALL OF YOU!!!!

Look I have no intentions of discussing politics on this website.  I mean, that is an endless subject with no resolve.  We like to keep things a little more painfully simple.

However, there is one thing I need to hate on and vent about in the category of "politics."

I live in a "red" state...it has always been a red state and it has held onto the conservative morals and values in which it was founded on.  I have also lived in other states but in the end, "there's no place like home."  Why is that?  Well, this state just feels RIGHT to me.  Don't get me wrong, I have been able to embrace the various cultures and traditions from other locations but I love living in a state where I feel well represented by the leaders, live among others with similiar beliefs and can truly gather a sense of community.

THAT BEING SAID....I'm soooo tired of all the northern liberals moving to "red" states and turning everything around.  If you are going to move to the south, TX or the midwest then you know what to expect in terms of their culture and political stances.  That's what makes them the great states that they are!  These are conservative states with a certain type of charm and solid morals.  Why are you going to move BY THE DROVES to these locations and then try to make everything look like NY?   So you have caught onto the fact that there is life outside of NY and some of these other states have cheaper land and other great attractions....so you figure you can just come here and try to turn it into your own little version of NY.  You add pizza parlors, bakeries, restaurants, etc.  Some would say--that's great!  We need those things here!  But I have a different opinion...Its not just that they bring new places to town but they also bring "their way of doing things."  Its no secret that New Yorkers tend to be a bit more brash and cold.  It is part of the culture there.  It works in NY--I'm not disputing that fact.  But when they bring that to locations where we are not used to it then it becomes annoying-flat out.

I know that it is stereotypical and that not all NYers are the same.  I totally agree with that.  I'm not even saying that one way is better than the other.  I am just saying that there are obvious differences in the area now that it has been infiltrated by New Yorkers.  It causes the charm of these once quaint towns to be lost!  They are bringing in more obnxious behavior, traffic and brutality.  Go HOME!

When I lived in the North I had no choice but to adapt to the culture there!  I didn't move there expecting to live in a conservative, friendly environment.  I had to pick up the pace, make no eye contact and get to the point whenever I spoke.  That's how it is and it works for certain areas!  I didn't last long there because everything about the state was opposite of who I am...that's okay..it was an EXPERIENCE.  I didn't go there expecting to turn the state around.  So don't move to other states and then bring your "hard" ways with you!  You have to adapt to the culture that makes that place unique!  Don't try to push people around and force liberal views on a conservative state.  Don't move here if you don't like the politics of the state!!  Stay registered in your state and vote in your liberal candidates to your home state!  Its so frustrating!

Despite our blog's title..I love all people.  My standpoint is merely from an authentic point of view.  Keep the south the south, the west the west, the north the north.  If you are going to infiltrate a new town then blend in--respect the land!  Go with the flow!  Otherwise, GO HOME.

ITALIAN--NOT SO MUCH....

I've been to Italy and I can honestly say I love the culture, food and scenery.  There's NOTHING like it!
Hear that?  NOTHING like it.  So what do I mean?  I'm talking about all the non-authentic, poser american-italians.....especially the northern NY/NJ italians.  I mean- SPARE me.  Just because your grandfather's uncle's neighbor was half italian DOES NOT make you Italian, nor should you run around telling people you are italian.
I don't care if you have italian somewhere in your family--if you were born in America then you are AMERICAN!  I'm all about knowing your family tree so don't get me wrong...we should all be proud of our heritage but I'm talking about the individuals that try to portray what an italian should look like and they try to impersonate the nationality.  LAME!

For example--there is such a thing as "new york italians." They are the ones like "baddabing, fuggedaboutit," etc.  The younger guys will have spiked hair or "blow outs," gold chains, baggy clothes, sunglasses, fancy cars (which usually includes an italian flag bumper sticker or flag hanging from the rearview mirror).  They try to implement "italian traditions" by eating pasta, loving wine, listening to Frank Sinatra, eating canolis, etc.  The "italian-New York" weddings are even worse.  Its not just the weddings though, its any event.  I won't rant on about NY yet but any italian event in NY is the same old-same old.  Anti-pasta starter dish, penne al a vodka, chicken parm, then italian cookies and cannolis for dessert.
Then, to just confirm their italianness they throw out half italian words like pass the "regot" which means ricotta cheese to us english speaking people.  Or "motzerell" which means mozerella cheese.  Again, spare me.

The whole annoying thing is that a true blue, off the boat, sanctified Italiano would NOT even understand what we've done to their culture.  The only similarity is that they eat pasta as well.  The italian culture I actually very different than what we try to portray here in America.  The men are very forward in Italy and they wear tight jeans and they have curly hair mostly and they drive small compact cars and they love disco dancing and leather is huge there!   So what am I saying?  I'm saying that they would find all of you posers a freakin joke!!  Do you think a real italian would ever wear a shirt that said "kiss me, I'm half italian?" I mean they sell these shirts in little italy in ny!  Soooo authentic!  Yeah right!  Meanwhile a chinese guy is taking your money and laughing at what a sucker you are.  A real italian isn't going to wave the italian flag on their cars. Who are you trying to broadcast your nationality to?  Oh, you"re proud?  Of what?  Have you ever even been to italy?  Do you even speak a lick of italian?  My assumption would be NO!
Same with the girls--wearing tight jeans, high boots, big gold earrings and chains with long dyed black hair DOESN'T MAKE YOU ITALIAN!
The real italian women have typically curly hair, bigger noses, olive skin, and european fashions that we wouldn't dare to rock.

Stop posing its an insult to your heritage actually!

I actually know one fake italian american that took classes on italian so he could say he speaks the language.  He makes his own sauce and in college he was known as the New Yorker that was so authentic italian and could cook.  Soooo cliche and redunkulous!
Moral of the story-stop posing.  Look I have italian in my background so I truly am all about knowing your family history.  But do us all a favor and stop impersonating what you think an italian should be--its comical and extremely lame.  Enjoy the culture and all of the many other cultures that make up America.  That's what is so great about America--we all came from somewhere but let's not forget the country we are blessed to live in!  You are still American--why not wave an American flag?

Intro--HATERAIDE

This is not your typical Blog....
This blog is designed for us to document and record every ridiculous thing we see or hear about.  It's not warm and fuzzy nor is it meant to be funny.  We are not writing based on being entertaining or popular.  We are just being us and that is it.

We aren't your average haters.....
We love to hate and we find ourselves funny.  We think things that most people don't and we say things that most people won't.  We are told often that we are "wack" and we are often asked "who even thinks of these things?"  Very simple.  We do.

We aren't controversial........
on purpose, that is.  You won't find curse words or slurs of any type but you might find some of our ideology so annoying that it becomes a point of contention for you.  Don't let that happen.  Just read and enjoy and at the end you have every right to say "wow, they are wack."  We're used to it.
